MINOR Vs MAJOR: CHOOSE THE RIGHT SERVICE

Why choose Ford Motorcraft 4+? Big dealers often have a reputation for being expensive and lacking the personal touch, so What Car? and Autocar headed to Motorcraft centres around the UK to have a look for themselves.

We asked Craig Stone, Aftersales Manager at T.C. Harrison Ford in Derby, to explain the Ford Motorcraft 4+ service, which is designed for cars and vans four years and older, and is split into two levels: Major and Minor.

“Both of them are similar in the basic checks that are carried out,” he says. “The major service is more extensive: a brake check with the wheels removed, and then any spark plugs, air filters or fuel filters that are required.” Both services include checks on exhausts, brakes, tyres and suspension – “everything you’d expect of a service plus some added extras. Master Technicians are on hand to advise which service your car needs”.
If any work is needed, you’ll receive a full estimate before it’s done and there will be no hidden charges.
